Beth VogtFaith, Quotes 7 Comments

“No person [should] walk out into the world to begin the day until he or she has stood beneath the cross to receive God’s love.” ~Max Lucado, author

May each of you experience God’s love today and every day.

He is risen!

  1. I love that many Christians, especially Russian Orthodox, officially greet each other with this joyful antiphonal response:
    “He is risen.”
“He is risen indeed,” and often antiphonally exchange the closing verses of powerful Psalm 24 as well:
7Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

8Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.

9Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

10Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

    1. When I was in choir (yes, yes I was in choir!) we sang a beautiful song with those verses.
      Still one of my favorites.
