  1. I’ve been influenced by all of the “I’m too” statements except for “I’m too young”. According to my therapist a few years ago – I was never young.

However, like Merlin, I intend to live backwards from here on, so that I get younger with each passing year, and can still experience that which I have missed!

Seriously, the phrase that gives me the most comfort comes from Andrew Greeley, the Catholic priest turned novelist:

“We will all be young again, and we will all laugh again.”

And also a line spoken by Sean Connery in “The Rock”:

“I nurtured the hope that there was hope…”

And finally, a slight paraphrase of John, Paul, George, and Ringo:

    “He loves you,
    yeah, yeah,yeah,
    He said He loves you,
    yeah, yeah, yeah,
    He loves you,
    yeah, yeah, yeah,
and with a Love like that,
you know you should be glad!”

    Have a great weekend!

  2. Too busy. That’s been my problem for so long, I’m sure how I’d fill if I didn’t have every minute filled. I’ve learned to schedule down time because I know God wants me to rest. Great post, Beth.

  3. Loved, LOVED this quote, Beth. I need it as a reminder, and so does a friend of mine.

The “I’m too busy” is the one I’ve lived out for years. I’m purposing to live a less-busy life so I can take in more of God’s beauty, and His words to me.

The one that gives me the greatest comfort is that God knows me. What a relief, because even though He knows me, He still loves me. 🙂

  4. “Too old” haunts me, though I’m a young “old” & God just gave me my life back again w/ new leads & my 6th pacemaker–so grateful. Long ago during the Cuban Missile Crisis when my 2 sons were little tykes & I worried about them, God asked me if I had planned the times they would be born, indicating He had and had all things covered. He planned when each of us would be born, too, and proves Himself faithful again every day.

  5. Had to respond to this one! There have been many times when God has carried me through times of busyness. When I’ve been exhausted so many times, He has reminded me that what I do, I do in His strength. Phil. 4:13
