Last Thursday Daniel was at Assateugue Island, Maryland — a place where my family camped several summers during my childhood. I have very fond memories of going to sleep to the sound of the surf and the wild ponies’ whinnies and neighs as they wandered the beach.

Rats! That’s right, the horses were on Assateague. WE stayed on Chincoteague.
This one was tricky, too. 😉 ‘Can’t Google the answer to it. I think it might be Banff, Alberta, Canada, specifically sunrise over Lake Moraine (pg. 63)?

This contest is fun, Beth! Hmmm….trying to think back. The one that comes to mind is Estes Park, but that is at the beginning and I don’t know if that is the one you are thinking of.

Today’s postcard is challenging everyone … although a few people have guessed the general location — and one persona has guessed the exact location!! 🙂 Keep it up, friends! I admit, this one was a bit trickier, but it does track with Daniel’s travels in the book, Wish You Were Here.
Without rereading (just did an 8-hr. stint as election judge & teach college tonight) I know he skied in Germany, but since you ruled out Europe, I’m going with Banff/Jasper Canada, and specifically choosing Banff.
