In My Words: Smile!

Smiles at ACFW 2013.jpg

I’m sitting in the airport at Indianapolis, listening to the recorded message, “the moving walkway is coming to an end, please watch your step” — over and over again while waiting for my 6:40 AM flight back to Denver.

Yes, I’m tired. I took a taxi to the airport at 3:30 this morning — sharing the ride with my wonderful friend, Lisa Jordan.

ACFW 2013 is over … but I’ve got wonderful memories tucked away in my heart — and scads of laundry tucked in my suitcase. My heart’s turned toward home, even as I thank God for the past few days — all the shared laughter, tears, prayers. I’m am beautifully exhausted.

I’ll get back to the quotes on Wednesday — but today I wanted share some smiles with you.

I had to laugh because as I read, “The moving walkway is coming to an end. Pleeeease watch your step.” Love your pics, Beth. And I loved spending time with you this weekend. 🙂 Have fun doing laundry! I have plenty of my own to throw in the washer when I get home.

Ah, yes, post-ACFW laundry. And the dry cleaning pile … gasp!

Beth, I’ve enjoyed seeing everyone’s pictures on Facebook from the conference. It looks like everyone had a blast, as I hoped (and figured) they would. Hope your flight went smoothly.

    Welcome home.

So glad you enjoyed the photos … the people are what it’s all about at ACFW … and celebrating the joys and praying through the disappointments.

I’ll echo Andrea…I’ve enjoyed the pictures you posted on Facebook.

Smiles are irresistible. We’ve just acquired a ‘throwaway’ Husky with the sweetest smile…you can’t look at her and stay sad.

In case you’re keeping count…it’s dog #26. Sigh.

Not “sigh,” Andrew — you mean, “Oh, wow! Another dog to love!” Would love to see the Husky’s smile.

We’re running behind in picture taking, but I’ll get one posted and let you know.

It is another dog to love. She’s a character. She’s teaching the Pit Bulls to howl like Huskies, only they can’t quite do it – their voices crack like a gang of thirteen-year-old choirboys. It’s hysterical, but they look so woebegone when you laugh at them!
