In Others’ Words: Smallest

Winnie the Pooh quote 7.26.13I am still trying to find the words to describe the birth of my granddaughter, Alison Elizabeth, on Wednesday, July 24.

I’ll let you know when I find them.

All of my emotions seem to find their expression in tears … and silence whenever I hold this miracle in my arms.

I’ll be spending Friday welcoming her home … and falling more in love.

  1. Beautiful, Beth. Somehow, I knew there would be a lot of happy tears for you. 🙂

I think times that have left me speechless were the first time I held each of our sons. There are no words that fit some occasions.

    Congratulations again, my friend.

  6. She is absolutely precious, Beth. Congratulations to your family.

At a loss for words? So many times. Beholding God’s creation does it for me, whether it’s my children, my deep love for my husband, or a sunset, God leaves me at a loss for words. He is Awesome to behold.

  7. So happy for you and your family, Beth. I was wondering how it compares to having your own child? More intense because you don’t have the physical recuperation happening?

    Cheers,
    Sue

  8. Beth, congratulations to you and your whole family. I know Ali Beth will be giving you lots of joy in the coming years… and probably fodder for many more stories as well (dare I hope?).

When I asked four different writer friends to read over my ms proposal, and all four women said yes… I was so humbled and definitely at a loss for words. (Thanks, Beth!)

    Blessings,
    Andrea
